Welcome

WE WOULD LOVE YOU TO JOIN US

Formed in 2010 by like-minded members of the local community, Sorell on Stage aims to bring live theatre to South Eastern Tasmania.

Our not-for-profit society is unique in that it encourages the writing and staging of original works. Often featuring a comic bent, we present two adult productions and a children's show each year at the Sorell Memorial Hall.

We also regularly send new works to OneFest and the Deloraine Drama Festival.

In 2016, we were awarded an Errol at the Tasmanian Theatre Awards for exceptional, original, community-based performances.

We are always looking for new members to join our community theatre

Our Shows

WE STAGE THREE SHOWS A YEAR

Our first play for 2024 will be TERROR AUSTRALIS TOO. The return season of our hilarious historical spoof by Barry Bryan. We will be performing A PAIR OF SHORTS - homegrown One Act plays at OneFest and the Deloraine Drama Festival in October and Our third show will be the fairytale, CINDERELLA ROCKERFELLA. Directed by Ian Williams in November.

Comedy Cabaret with live music

“We attended last night and we loved it, so many laughs, great audience interaction. Each character shone brightly. We loved that a bit of ad lib was the norm which made for a bit of extra cheeky fun.”
